Hiddleston - an English actor known for playing Loki in the Marvel

Calvin's remained pretty tight-lipped about the whole thing until

Just a quick intro to deejay darddy. I met this guy in Kampala after talking for a while online and our views clicked. He is a cool relaxed guy ambitious and full of suprices. Deejay darddy is one of the deejays who actually got me interested in serious deejaying , as in taking my game to the next level. I remember our club mash ups in uganda (Stakeout, Ethnic Bar, Hooters, Mish mash and many more), he used to tell me 'Yaw Blue the secret is keeping guys on the dancefloor...' Back when we started Silver Springs deejays we did not know what the future held for us. Three years later i moved to the UK and started a label [BLUEBOX] supporting artists all over the globe and guess what yes deejay darddy joined me. Though still based in Kenya, Deejay Darddy and i intend to take over the music business our style by storm.

The group originally formed in 1994 as Kara's Flowers while they were still attending high school. The 2015 American Music Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday morning. Check out the list of nominees below!
The first round of six categories were announced by Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth on
“Good Morning America.” That was followed by a live stream revealing
the other categories, which cover virtually every genre of music. Among
the awards categories are Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, New
Artist of the Year, Top Soundtrack, and various Favorite Artist and
Album awards in such genres as Pop/Rock, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B,

I love reggae music but, these days its hard to get some real nice reggae roots. Dont get me wrong, there are still good reggae music being played but its just not the same. Why Jamaican Government Could Not Afford For Vybz Kartel To Walk Free
Adidjah Azim Palmer was born on January 7, 1976 in the Waterford
district of Jamaica. The controversial deejay kick started his career at
a tender of 12 when he released his first single “Fat women”, during
this period he went by the name Adi Banton. He later formed the group
Vibes Cartel with some friends, but after the group dissolved, Adi
decided to keep the name in a more altered form as he worked on his solo
career.
Vybz Kartel traveled quickly up the ladder of fame as he
spit lyrics ranging from raunchy and hard core to hard-hitting gun
tunes.However, Vybz Kartel’s influence began to be more evident during
the fued between himself and Movado which has left an indelible mark on
the minds of ALL Jamaicans.
Many persons are not aware of the
influence Kartel had on the Jamaican government even as he did songs
which lashed out against the injustice. The Jamaican Government could
not afford for Vybz Kartel to continue on a free roam as it was bad for
their business. It is a known fact that their are Jamaicans who dub
themselves ‘die-hearted labourites’ or ‘die-hearted pnp’ and that these
two parties have been the most spoken about topic by Jamaicans over the
years, especially around election time. These two bodies were so
influential that they lead Jamaica into a frenzy or criminal activities
from murder, to scams and robberies so you see the problem that it
caused for them when Vybz Kartel got the entire Jamaica to stop saying
PNP and JLP and start saying Gully and Gaza.
Vybz Kartel was accused
of being the trigger man behind over 100 unsolved murders that took
place in Jamaica over the years; crimes that, surprisingly, were not
brought up against him before and that have no evidence at all to
support the claims. These accusations were made and strongly backed by,
the commissioner of police, Owen Ellington who also mentioned that they
(the JCF) have been telling the country this for a long time. He also
went on to say that Vybz Kartel lead a gang which was responsible for
these murders but every time they moved against this gang, they were
condemned and accused of being malicious. Had any of this been true, why
would the Commissioner of Police not have support of the Jamaican
government?
If you remember correctly, Ellington retired suddenly
from his post on the premise that he “needed to separate himself from
the leadership and management of the Force” What does that even mean
coming from the man who was Commissioner of Police? No matter, it was
later revealed that Ellington himself was forced to resign (that’s why
it came so suddenly)because news came to light that he was in connection
with widely known criminal entities in Jamaica, individuals and gangs
alike.
The Gaza/Gully fued was so influential that a clause was
created in the Anti-gun legislation act. Clause 15 of the act stated
that “a person shall not use a common name or identifying sign, symbol,
tattoo or other physical marking, colour or style of dress or graffiti
or produce, record or perform songs to promote or facilitate the
criminal activity of a criminal organization”. The clause was
subsequently removed and was announced by former Minister of Youth,
Sports and Culture, Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange and Senior Superintendent
Steve McGregor at a panel discussion held at the UWI. The clause was
created as it was said the fued segregated Dancehall fans and
facilitated the rise of gangs in local schools.
‘Babsy’ Grange is a
member of the Jamaica Labour Party and Vybz Kartel is a known PNP
affiliate so why would she ‘back’ him? Simple, because it is in
opposition to what the ruling government wants.
Vybz Kartel did
songs that were opening the eyes of many a Jamaican citizen against the
unjust hand that was being dealt to us by or so called leaders. His song
“Emergency” is a great example, ‘dem change dem face like Nicholas
Cage, true election a come dem temporary re-arrange, mi rate Bruce mi
rate pj but dem waa we dead off like dog weh have mange. MI born as a
suffera wen it ago change? Mi love portia Simpson mi love Babsy grange,
but if dem nuh tun a new page, we naa wear no green or red agen..we a
wear beige.Vybz Kartel had enough influence for them to create and
implement a clause to govern his lyrics about crime, but what were they
going to do to stop him from making songs like these? The only way they
saw out was to imprison him with the hopes that his voice would be
locked up too.
The government already had vybz Kartel’s entire case
planned from the start to the finish but what they hadn’t anticipated
was that proof that the ‘evidence’ was tampered with would come to
light. The jury was already picked for the substantial amount of votes
needed to reach a guilty verdict and that’s why they didn’t have to take
all the time specified to do their deliberation. The one member of the
jury who gave a not-guilty verdict is facing charges of trying to bribe
other members of the jury; the jury which contained JDF members and
wives of JDF members, a fact that was not revealed until this year.
After Kartel’s sentence, the idea was that he would be silenced once and
for all but when that was not the case, the government took to kicking a
man while he is down.
After Kartel’s sentence, when the government
saw that he still had a strong voice and influence on the society, the
proceeded to take different routes to break his chain of followers.
Firstly, on April 13, 2014 the Jamaica Observer published an article
stating that the convicted entertainer has told the police the
whereabouts of several wanted men in Portmore and also provided them
with information which led to the recovery of 17 illegal firearms. This,
of course, was all false information released by the JCF claiming he
did it in an effort to acquire his freedom or a vastly reduced sentence.
When this didn’t work they, secondly, went on to leak voice notes and
videos claiming that it was in these that the entertainer planned most
of his murders, even that of Clive “lizard” Williams. This effort too,
fell on stoney grounds. Fans weren’t having any of it. Their next
strategy was somewhat farfetched as there is no way that they really
expected it to work, but nonetheless they tried. A few months into his
sentence, pictures were released claiming to be Vybz Kartel, performing
what appeared to be anal sex (from what was seen in the picture) and it
was being said that the “get gyal easy” deejay was gay. Like I said,
quite farfetched. When it dawned on them that none of this was working
it was then that he was left alone for a while, for a while.
A short
time later, they tried to tarnish his image again, painting him as an
informer, as they claimed he gave them evidence against his fellow
convict, and friend, Shawn Storm.
In March 2009, Ninja Man was
arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Ricardo Johnson.
He was granted bail 3 years later in the sum of $2,000,000 and was
scheduled to appear in court July 15, 2012. An amount of 58 jurors were
needed for the start of the trial but only 15 showed up, which lead to
the trial being rescheduled for this month April 2015.
Recapping a
little bit more, if justice is what is being ‘served’, what happened to
the X-6 driver who killed a student in cold blood and why aren’t any
news being released about him? 17-year-old Khajeel Mais was killed in
cold blood as a taxi he was driving in accidentally ran in to the back
of Patrick Powell’s posh BMW X-6 vehicle. Powell opened fire onto the
taxi, killing the student. He had fled from the island for a short while
after the incident. He was eventually charged with shooting with
intent, illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition,
and failure to provide firearm for inspection. In 2013 his trial was
postponed until February 24, 2014 and in 2014 the trial was rescheduled
for March 20 of this year. The time has since passed and there hasn’t
been any word of his sentence and it has almost been 4 years. This is no
surprise, however, as it took the police two (2) years to bring charges
against 21 yo Jahnai Powell, son of the X6 Killer, for crippling a man
in 2009.
It has been a year since Vybz Kartel was sentenced, but
close to this anniversary there was an attempt on his life. The plot was
uncovered by the Correctional Service Department and included an
ancillary staff member and an inmate. The ancillary staff member said
she was instructed to pick up bottles of lotion and three ratchet
knives, these bottles contained poison that was said to be able to
penetrate the skin. There are higher forces at work here, higher than an
ancillary staff member and an inmate. Why are they so desperate to have

Anyway been seeing alot of us on social media complaining about this and that what happened to the black race ages ago and what seems to be happening now. We have put so much painful history in our minds such that it takes us time to notice the good things that we have and are able to achieve.

Senegalese-American artist Akon is a five-time Grammy nominee
who has sold over 35 million records worldwide, and has collaborated
with some of the biggest names in popular music, such as Michael

but spent much of his childhood in Senegal, is also an activist and a

His current ambitious project, "Akon Lighting Africa," is
working to bring solar-powered electricity to Africans in 49 countries
by the end of 2020.
Akon is also an ambassador for the non-profit organisation

power to Goma to a concert to promote peace in the Democratic Republic
of Congo.
But Akon has also caused controversy through his performance style and his lyrics.

business; his projects - both philanthropic and artistic; singing songs
for peace and whether he thinks it can really make an impact; and being
an African in the US.

There has been serious debate over the time about the content the music nowadays have. Some artists, music co-operations, religious groups, activists and even some outspoken members of the society have raised alarm but nothing seems to happen.
What makes me laugh at times is the ignorance some so called artists, would want to portray themselves as self righteous and speak against the current music, having bad language, the way it demoralizes the women and the society where as they are using bad language to speak this out. what change are you bringing if you yourself is not walking what you preach?
Music is wide and general and it all depends on what you are promoting with it. It sounds really funny when someone comes and says that the art of music has been spoilt, people are singing gabbage, rubbish and they have no skill or talent. What is talent, what is skill, what is art? you have to ask your selves this first before you judge. does he sound good, can he or she really sing, are they creative, if so then you are in the avarta world of your own ignorance.
My view is that music has taken a commercial turn and is used to promote agendas, New model cars, bling bling, other cultures, Pornography, cosmetics and other products, it no longer teaches and entertains the community as it did before but actually entertains this new generation's lifestyle. If i lived in the ghetto/projects or was born in the streets, hustled all my life to do things the right way and i get no correct feedback would you blame me? Ff i thought this was the idea way rather than strapping my waist with a cold 9 millimeter to robe a bank or an innocent civilian would you blame me? if this was the way i could feed my family after being let go from work because my boss is chopping off expenses would you still blame me?
I know this article will bring about mixed feelings, others would say i spoke the truth others will be like am an opportunist, but i call a spade a spade not a big spoon.
The thing is i think we should find a different way
to deal with the system. Truth be told most of this funny

People's mindset has been put to believe that this is the right way to
things, Most of this music get crazy air play unlike the rest and become
more popular than the good old music that we used to have back in the
day. Fame, "SUCCESS" and "MONEY" that comes with it blinds the entire
generation. I think if we support the right music to a serious level,
through huge concerts, massive air play, Proper branding, build a cool
hype way of saying good and clean reggae/R&b, Hip Hop music is cool believe me you
will see the difference and as strong black people we need to support
the artists out there doing good music and teaching all the youths
dem good morals. Lets not wait for a musical "jesus" when we can bring
this changes our selves. It starts with YOU and ME.

Last year , family, friends and fans of Adidja Palmer sat nervously waiting for a verdict in the then alleged murder of Barrington “Bossie” Burton. Objectively, anyone with a fourth grade education would have seen right through the Prosecution’s case and appreciated the judge’s wisdom in instructing the jury to come back with the verdict, the only sensible verdict; not guilty. However, there was a collective fear in every inner city that the presiding judge would not do the right thing, the brave thing and set the man who the status quo bourgeoisie Jamaica loves to hate, free, based on evidence or more accurately, lack thereof. Thankfully, the learned judge Bryan Sykes, did the right thing and an innocent man and his co-accused did not get unfairly sentenced; instead he was justly freed because the learned judge stood up for the law and did not give in to the powers that be who wanted to lock up Kartel and throw away the key without evidence. Unfortunately, society was to get another shot later in that year and many suspected regardless of the evidence or circumstances; many people feared that Vybz Kartel was going to pay for his music and for the influence he had on the poor people of Jamaica. Historically, only politicians have had that influence in Jamaica and any musician that challenged that power ended up dead or in trouble with the law – that is not an opinion, that is a historical fact.
Fast forward, one year today. In the view of many, another judge did not do the right thing in the next trial and allowed obviously tampered evidence to be utilized to convict the same man. It became the sentiment in the inner cities of Jamaica that it just “had to go so because a Kartel.” Despite tampered evidence, despite missing evidence, despite the master CD (the only authentic piece of evidence that could validate the phone evidence) being mysteriously missing, despite the missing notebook of the lead arresting officer, despite the missing pages from witnesses’ statements, despite the DNA being negative, despite conflicting timelines, despite absent witnesses, despite no body, despite no murder weapon, despite the crime scene being left unsecured for days by the police, despite not even confirmation that Clive Williams is deceased, Adidja Palmer had to go to jail so society could get rid of him for the murder of a man who no one on the planet can show conclusive evidence that he is indeed dead.
