Just a quick intro to deejay darddy. I met this guy in Kampala after talking for a while online and our views clicked. He is a cool relaxed guy ambitious and full of suprices. Deejay darddy is one of the deejays who actually got me interested in serious deejaying , as in taking my game to the next level. I remember our club mash ups in uganda (Stakeout, Ethnic Bar, Hooters, Mish mash and many more), he used to tell me 'Yaw Blue the secret is keeping guys on the dancefloor...' Back when we started Silver Springs deejays we did not know what the future held for us. Three years later i moved to the UK and started a label [BLUEBOX] supporting artists all over the globe and guess what yes deejay darddy joined me. Though still based in Kenya, Deejay Darddy and i intend to take over the music business our style by storm.

BIOGRAPHY
I was born on 22
DECEMBER.... Twenty One years ago (21 Years Old) at a Ghetto known as
MATHARE SLUMS in Nairobi;Kenya. Unfortunately I happened to loose my
parents at the age of Six; I had just began my kindergarten so I ended
up in ABC KENYA CHILDREN HOME which took me in to play the role of a
Parent hence rescuing me from the streets as a Street child.
MUSIC
I started the art of singing when i was at the Children Home just when i realized my passion in Swahili Poetry "Mashairi".
Officially
I came into the Kenyan Music scene in 2013 just after my time of stay
at the Children Home expired and so had to find ways to survive even
without the knowledge of where to find my relatives.
The first
song that introduced me to Kenyans was MAMA a dedication to my late Mum

American pop rock band Maroon 5 has released five studio albums, three live albums, two compilation albums, one remix album, three extended plays, nineteen singles, four promotional singles, and twenty-three music videos. The group originally formed in 1994 as Kara's Flowers while they were still attending high school. With a line-up of Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick, they signed to Reprise Records and released an album, The Fourth World,
in 1997. After a tepid response to the album, the band parted with
their record label and attended college. In 2000, the band regrouped and
added James Valentine to the lineup, and pursued a new direction under the name Maroon 5.
Bluebox Charts kickstarts its list this year with [Animals] Another one of Maroon 5's biggest hits in 2004 with views up to 206,439,756 on Youtube. Big ups to the group coz this song compliments its name they went beats mode on this one. #Bluebox
Swift released the music video for her new single off 1989, "Wildest Dreams," which has been viewed more than 12 million times in just under three days. Wildest Dreams, reportedly shot in Botswana and South Africa, follows
the pop star as she plays the part of a Hollywood actor who falls in
love with her co-star on set. The video is based on classic Hollywood romances like Elizabeth Taylor
and Richard Burton, as well as classic movies like The African Queen,
Out of Africa and The English Patient, to name a few. This is a classic video if you havent seen it then you better get to it.

“If Music and modeling is art then Kenya is a masterpiece” Griot Life
Studios 2011. Hailing from the Island of St.Croix Kenya has been
captivating audiences from the tender age of four. This beautiful,
singer, song writer and model is a new breed of triple threat, and the
stage is her natural playground. Many have attempted to classify her
music, but Kenya's sound defies traditional boxes. It is a Fusion of
Pop, R&B, Reggae, Alternative music intermingled with other genres.
These Sounds blend together in a poetic uplift of powerful vocals which
she identifies as heart music. The gracious yet powerful movement of her
voice can fill any room commanding the attention of all with visceral
intensity. Kenya has been featured on the highly anticipated concert
Tempo Turns One, and has performed on the same stage as Morgan Heritage,
Dezarie, and Planet VI (formerly Rock City), just to name a few. She has
opened for artists such as Wyclef Jean, Big Mountain, Bambu Station
& has opened for and performed with India Arie. Kenya has worked
with renowned producers such as Jason Farmer, Renan Harrigan, Bambu
Station, Dean Pond and many more. Her talent and professionalism has
garnered the respect of many prominent members of the music industry.
Kenya continues on her journey in life...
UP-AND-COMING dancehall artist Vershon is currently creating a stir in
the dancehall with his debut single Inna Real Life. He is hoping to better that
with his latest track Ruff up the World.
"The single is really just talking of what the young man has gone though. came to learn about Version as i was doing my online music research and walla there he was with more than 100k views on youtube i felt abit dissapointed that i had not heard of him with all my years in deejaying bizz..hmm oooh well now i do.
Vershon (given name Adrian Brown) said he believes his captivating image
and witty lyrics will keep him ahead with the musical competition.
"It's not easy keeping relevant in the industry as there are new faces
emerging everyday. For me, the aim is to maintain an image that will
make me stand out in the crowd. Complemented with that, is my catchy
lyrics that will either leave persons dancing like crazy or just
meditating on the message," said Vershon, who sports a tattooed
hairline.
The deejay said he has had a passion for the art since he was nine years
old. That passion, according to him, would sometimes see him skipping
classes at Greater Portmore High School in St Catherine and visiting
studios with the hopes of getting his musical break.
His break would, however, come after deejay Mr G introduced him to
producer Christopher Birch a little over a year ago. That meeting
resulted in Boom.
"Boom is dance single which is directed at the females. I am really
grateful, as it continues to get good rotation on the airwaves and is a
favourite in the dancehall sessions," he said.
His other singles included Missing You, Biggest Strength and Man De Ya.
Its been longtime coming now the mixtape is finally realeased. You got to hand it to Alkaline his music is tight and a competition to many. You might have had alot of negativity directed towards the artist by a few but truth is he is a threat. This one right here you will enjoy. #bluebox #Teambluemoon

Shavanique
Allen aka Shav-a, was born in Kingston, Jamaica at the Andrews
memorial and raised in Portmore. She is the fifth of nine siblings of
her Father Admiral Tibet, a prominent
figure in the reggae music industry. The vivacious yet shy singer has a
refreshing soulful sound and a knack for the R&B, Pop. Reggae &
Dancehall genre of music and as such has been inspired by Artists such
as Celine Dion, Beyonce Knowles, and Whitney Huston to name a few. ***************************************************************************************************************************
Shav-A
began singing at the tender age of ten but revealed
her true talent when she was about sixteen years old, she got the support of
her family and friends to continue a career in music. She strives for
improvement in any way she can and has performed at karaoke events, hotel
talent shows and on her school and church choir. Being grounded in her roots she
promotes fun, love, happiness, positivity and consciousness in her music. ***************************************************************************************************************************
Her first official single “Dance the Night Away” done
on the 1ST Klass Rhythm a Bonner yard Production got major
rotation on the local radio stations leading to the release of two more singles A Long Run and Sight. Being a diverse artist, she decided to do a different project bringing in the reggae dancehall mix with yet a new single "Can't get Enough". The project got a good reception across the globe leading to radio interviews as far as Uganda in Africa.
Shav-a
has already captivated the hearts of
most with her pure and natural talent, and plans to continue doing great music.
Her aim is to attain international success and believes that hard work is the
only way to accomplish such an achievement.
Born as Kehinde Oladotun Oyebanjo on February 12th, 1985 ,
in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, Kayswitch ‘D Produkt’, originally from
Shagamu, Ogun State, attended Nigerian Navy Secondary School in
Abeokuta, Ogun State. His interests spanned from the science of computer
to oil and gas and even screen writing, but his greatest passion was
music. He began his journey into music in secondary school, where he
used to rap with his friends for fun. Rapping gradually became a part of
him and later singing and songwriting. Infuenced by the likes of Sizzla
Kalonji, Jay-z, Talib Kweli, Youssou N’dour, his greatest musical
influence was his older brother, D’Banj, who played a major role in
KaySwitch’s love and passion for music and entertainment . Kayswitch ‘D
Produkt’ spent a lot of time with his brother D’Banj and gradually
developed his own musical style and direction, but it was not until his
first encounter with the mic in 2005 while recording a track with his
friend Dr. Frabz in the studio that he decided to take up music
professionally.
His past affiliation with Mohits Records,
formed by his older brother, D’Banj and DonJazzy, gave him the time to
develop his skills in the studio, and become a highly skilled recording
and performing artist. From the US to the UK, India, Asia, Ghana, South
Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Dubai and many more countries around
the world, KaySwitch ‘D produkt’ has toured with his brother D’Banj and
also performed at major shows such as the Thisday Show, StarMega Jam ,
koko concert and Calabar festival.
His music is a reflection of
his calm and urban style as well as his eccentricity. KaySwitch believes
in being the best in whatever he does in life and looking outside the
box by creating something unexpected and different. He lives by the
saying “send on” which he interprets as “bringing on blessing and good
things to come” KaySwitch ‘D Produkt’ is most definitely a force to be reckoned with in the music world.
Rachel Funmilola Garton aka “Lola Rae” [Facebook link], a 21 year-old British singer of Nigerian/Ghanian and British Heritage with high aspirations
combined with a great amount of talent and potential to match. Lola
Rae garnered national recognition as a dancer in the Street dance group
“Myztikal” that competed in (GWI Street dance champions 2008 U18
Champions). It wasn’t until Myztikal auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent
in 2010 when her singing prowess was brought to the stage, with Simon
Cowell singling her out at both the audition and semi-final stage that
Lola Rae began to believe her dreams could become reality. Since then,
rather than go down the conventional route to XFactor– where an option
had been offered to Rachel by Syco for an audition, she instead decided
that she’d greater benefit from finding herself as an artist and
deciding what she wanted to be, as opposed to a mould being created for
her.
Building up a catalogue of songs, her first singles
being an up tempo dance track title "Watch My Ting Go" and High ft
Bridge (LOS) amongst other recordings. Recently she starred in Panshak
Zamani's "More" video as the singers love interest. Lola Rae’s
strengths lie in her jazzy and soulful feel, comparable to the vibe
given off by greats such as Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse. Despite
comparisons, Lola Rae ultimately prides herself in her uniqueness and it
would certainly be wrong to box her solely into the typical jazz &
soul mould. Working with producer P2J, she has found her voice offers
versatility and her sound should not be put in one simple category.
Singer/songwriter Alaine possesses a sweet voice, song writing skills
that show a depth of experiences and a smile that could brighten any
day. This American born, Jamaican raised singer is generating quite a
buzz in her home Jamaica and internationally.

DA WORKS PRODUCTION - MEDDI RIDDIM
Contrary to other contemporary musics like hip hop and EDM, reggae culture is hyper-aware of its rich musical history, and Meddi Riddim is a good example of how this history lives on through current releases. With a feel-good vibe, Meddi incorporates the earthiness and laid back tempo of roots reggae while employing a danceable bounciness that can be traced through 80’s and 90’s dancehall back to early reggae of the late 60’s. In other words, this riddim (and reggae/dancehall/riddim culture in general) is timeless and will fit right in at the local dance whether selectors in your part of the world prefer vintage reggae/dancehall, contemporary reggae/dancehall, or a mix of the two.
Da Works are a bit of a mystery, referenced as Da Works Production, Da Works Music, and Da Works Enternational in various places throughout the internet.
With very little available information and even an uncertainty about what the label is called, there are only a few things that can be said about this album with any reliability: Meddi Riddim is Da Works’ first juggling to be released to a broad audience and it is an extraordinarily strong project, especially for a first release.
Part of what makes Meddi a strong first juggling for Da Works is the lineup of artists included in the release. However the roster is also unnecessarily large at eighteen total contributors, and a riddim album of this size can be intimidating to listeners who are not accustomed to hearing the same beat played on a loop.
Those dedicated enough to sift through the heft of theMeddi release will find some gems from popular artists - Anthony B’s Don’t Stop Trying, Turbulence’s Love You Always, and Give Thanks To Life from “One Blood” Junior Reid, whose long anticipated The Living Legend album also dropped in August. Dig just a little deeper and find many more quality tunes from talented, but slightly lesser-known reggae artists like Bascom X,Chezidek, Chrisinti, Mr. Perfect, Junior X, and Zamunda.
Created
by Lee Daniels (The Butler), “Empire” follows hip-hop mogul Lucious Lyon
(Terence Howard) as he battles with a terminal disease and tries to get
one of his three sons, Jamal, Hakeem and Andre, to take over his music
empire. Let’s not forget his ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), straight
out of prison ruffling feathers as she struts her stuff. Throw in guest
appearances by A-listers Jennifer Hudson, Courtney Love and Cuba
Gooding Jr., a killer soundtrack, under the musical direction of
Timbaland, and you have a winning formula.
You can always catch up on season one by searching “empire” right here on the site, but to refresh your memory [spoiler alert] season one concluded with Jamal coming out and taking reign over the Empire;
Lucious’ disease ended up being not so terminal and he headed to jail
[end of spoiler]. Enter season two: with more guest stars (like Alicia
Keys, Kelly Rowland, Patti LaBelle, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Rock and
Ludacris) already signed on, and did we mention Ne-Yo is teaming up with
Timbaland on production? We can’t wait to see what season two, with 18
episodes, has in store for us.
